Chef Megs of Nutmegs Kitchen locally sources all ingredients and oversees the preparation of every meal.

All dietaries are catered for including regular, vegetarian, vegan and halaal-friendly meals using halaal-certified ingredients.

Fully Kosher and strict halaal meals can be arranged on request, and carry an additional cost. 

All food allergies are catered to, however we ask that you please only give serious allergies. 

Although the tap water is considered safe to drink, we provide fresh filtered water. We provide locals wines, cooldrinks, mixers, ciders, beers, sparkling water and non-alcholic ciders and beers. We do not supply spirits, you are welcome to bring your own. 

Once we have received your deposit, we will send you an email with a form to fill out for your dietaries and drinks. 

We mostly walk through protected nature reserves that unfortunately do not allow pets or drones. 

We are VAT registered and so corporate bookings are ideal.

Why not spend an extra night in Hermanus either side of your adventure?

Hermanus is beautiful and as locals we know the prime spots from budget to 5 star luxury – all within walking distance to the central hub so that you don’t have to get caught up in transport battles to do anything. 

We will also give you a list of the top restaurants and help make your dinner reservations if you need. 

There is limited wifi on some of the routes. Our guides walk with a satellite phone incase of emergency. 

There is no wifi in the Kogelberg which adds to the magic of the experience. If you need to urgently work or get hold of someone, our team will help you. 
You are welcome to leave Leanne’s phone number with your family in case of an emergency at home (+27 83 293 7208) 

You are welcome to walk with your children but you have to book your own private group. This also allows our team to create routes that are suitable to your families fitness, fun and a tailor made experience that will give your family the ultimate outdoor family adventure, with limited or no wifi. 

Children of 16 years and older are welcome to join groups.

We love hosting solo hikers, couples, siblings, friends and welcome them to book on all of our experiences.
If the minimum number is not reached, we will:

• Give you the opportunity to book up to the minimum number 
• Transfer your booking to another suitable date 
• Refund you 

Slackpacking Hikes: Kogelberg Camino & Walk with Whales: 
Minimum 8 and maximum 12. 

Cape Escapes, Wellness Boosts, Day Hikes :
Minimum 2 and maximum 7. (You are welcome to come as a solo and pay for 2) 

Tailor made / bespoke expereinces: 
There is no minimum or maximum number.  

We can take private groups of up to 18.

You choose the number of days, people, accommodation type (3 star to luxury) activities and area.
